Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins (or simply Snake Eyes) is a 2021 American superhero film loosely based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe toy line character of the same name. It is the third instalment in the G.I. Joe film series.
The film is directed by Robert Schwentke from a screenplay by Evan Spiliotopoulos, Joe Shrapnel, and Anna Waterhouse. It serves as an origin story for the title character, while also being a reboot of the film series. The film stars Henry Golding, with Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving, and Iko Uwais in supporting roles.
Synopsis: After saving the life of their heir apparent, tenacious loner Snake-Eyes is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage, where he is taught the ways of the ninja warrior. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, his honour and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.
