Aiyetoro Town is a Nigerian 2019 television series that explores the journey of development, cultural preservation, and the clash between modernity and tradition in a rural Nigerian setting.
The series is a spin-off of the popular Jenifa’s Diary and follows the life of the Baale (traditional ruler) of Aiyetoro village, portrayed by Femi Branch. Having lived in Edinburgh and been exposed to Western civilisation, the Baale returns to Aiyetoro with a vision to modernise the village, transforming it into a town while preserving its traditional heritage, customs, and values.
Synopsis: Having lived in Edinburgh and experienced civilisation, the Baale of Aiyetoro village embarks on a journey to upgrade Aiyetoro to a town, as well as its occupants, without altering its traditional heritage, customs, and traditions.
