Kesari (transl. Saffron) is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language historical war action film starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Anurag Singh. It follows the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi, a battle between 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army, who invade and attack 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in 1897.
Synopsis: In 1897, an army of 21 Sikhs battled 10,000 Afghans to prevent the Saragarhi Fort from being taken down.
